Bringing Hope to the City

Broadcaster Dr Ed Doolan MBE helped launch a new Midland's Charity on Monday 27 March 2006 by planting an eighty year old Olive Tree in what will become a ‘Garden of Hope' at Birmingham's City Hospital. The new charity ‘EVE – Challenging Women's Cancer' will be based at City Hospital. On hand to help Ed, were a group of school children from Edgbaston High School for Girls who had recently expressed through paint their idea of what a garden of hope would be like. Professor David Luesley, one of the founder members of Eve said: ‘We are delighted that we have been able to launch Eve in such an imaginative way and we look forward to raising awareness of Eve along with much needed funds'.
